St. Catharines Mayor, Walter Sendzik, Endorses Loomis
October 6, 2022
City of St. Catharines Mayor, Walter Sendzik, joined Mayoral Candidate Keanin Loomis at his campaign office headquarters on Thursday to deliver an endorsement of his friend and former colleague.
Mayor Sendzik took the opportunity to highlight parallels between the two former Chamber of Commerce Executives and to provide his endorsement.
“Similar to Keanin, I was the past President & CEO at the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce when I declared my candidacy for Mayor of St. Catharines in 2014,” said Mayor Sendzik. “My time working at the Chamber provided me with the necessary experience and skills required to transition into the Mayor’s chair successfully, despite never having run for office before.”
Mayor Sendzik recently announced he would not be seeking re-election after having served the City of St. Catherines with eight years of exceptional leadership and vision that reinvigorated the community and tackled key community issues such as housing, mental health, addictions and homelessness.
“The Mayor plays a critical role in shaping local communities, and having previously worked with Keanin on a variety of critical economic development initiatives, I am confident that his energy, passion, and willingness to collaborate will deliver real change for all the residents of Hamilton.”
