platform release: Town Hall Tour
Hamilton Mayoral Candidate Keanin Loomis to Launch ‘Town Hall Tour’ Across the City
HAMILTON, ONT. (Wednesday, August 17, 2022) – On August 17, Keanin Loomis detailed an element of his plans to restore truth, trust, and transparency to City Hall, and to create a City Hall more responsive to the needs of residents.
Loomis’ campaign platform includes a promise to host, in his first year in office, a town hall in each ward across the city alongside each Hamilton City Councillor.
To demonstrate his commitment to engage with communities across Hamilton, Loomis will host a ‘Town Hall Tour’ in the run-up to the election. The pre-election tour will be open to the public and allow residents of many communities, including Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Binbrook, Flamborough, and Hamilton to meet with Loomis and discuss top-of-mind issues relevant to them.
Loomis will kick off the tour in Stoney Creek in the coming weeks.
“When we’re canvassing in the amalgamated communities, we’re hearing very clearly that almost no one feels listened to by City Hall,” says Loomis. “In order to understand Hamiltonians’ concerns, we need to go where they are, which also gives me an opportunity to share my long-term vision for the city.”
